Well not been on here for a month and have some exciting news..

Last week I lost 2.5lbs, bringing my weight down to 15st 8lbs. I have lost 52lbs (3st 10lbs)
I will be receiving my 50lb loss certificate next week (couldn't get it on monday as bank holiday) and I am 4lbs off my fourth stone loss....and once I have reached my 4 stone loss I will be 4.5lb of the 14 stones... Which will be amazing!

I would love to lose a further 3 stone by Christmas, not sure if I will manage, but I will try!

I am wearing a size 20 now and alot of my old clothes are far to big for me :-)

We bought a Labrador puppy last week. He is little monkey but I am sure he will give me all the exercise I need! I don't go to aqua fit or anything like that at the moment as towards the end of the month I didn't have the money to go. BUT I am still using my wii fit as often as I can. That was well worth the money!!

I'd say speak soon but it will probably be another month. I hope everyone else is managing and if I can offer any advice it really is as simple as move more, eat less....I have really been enjoying Maryland cereal bars, which taste just like the cookies yet only 2pts per bar..and it satisfies a sweet craving. Also coco pops cereal bars.

UPDATE!!

Sorry it has been so long. I just don't get time for everything :-/

So bit of an update..had a wonderful Easter, we went to Perranporth in Cornwall and stayed at Haven's Perran Sands. It was fantastic, best holiday ever. I did relax on the diet though, I ate Easter Eggs, I ate out at burger king etc...yet my weigh in was a sts then a 2lb loss but this week I had a 3lb gain, so I think it caught up with me..oops!

Yep a 3lb gain this week..my first gain THIS YEAR!!I was gutted yesterday, especially as I am well known in class for my losses and when everyone asked how I'd done and I replied well, I gained 3lb...you could see their dissapointment, I felt I had let them down.

So this week I am hoping to turn it around and get it off for next week. I am now going to Keep Fit and Aqua Fit on Tuesdays (dragging myself there later!) I do the wiifit as much as possible although not been on My Fitness Coach lately..I will aim to do that this week! I bought a pedometer from weight watchers and would recommend to everyone! It tells you how many point you have earned yourself just through walking. I never eat the points I have earned through exercise/walking though.

I am still focused which I am pleased about after 4 months, I have normally let myself down by now.

I am 6.5lbs away from my 50lb certificate!
I have now lost 3st 1.5lb
I got into a size 18 last week :-) but I am still a size 20/22 mainly a 20 now though :-)

I will hopefully not leave it so long next time...ttfn

It's been quite a while since I last posted and I just wish I had more time to write on here and the boards etc. I am just feeling so motivated I wish I could share it and pass it on...but I have so much energy now I want to be doing things!

So I have had my birthday and Mothers Day since I last wrote, my Birthday was a lovely day, I had a French Fancy Birthday Cake in Pink - Naturally. I ate 4 Slices :-/ Although, I will point out, that was not in one sitting! We also went to a VUE cinema to see Marley & Me - very sad film. We went in the GOLD CLASS and it was brill, reclining leather chairs, waiter service...I also had a bag of maltesers - family size but only ate half a pack :-) and Also Toffee Crisp Popcorn - Gorgeous..but again only ate..well not even half a pack :-) I did get a diet coke but couldn't drink it!! So just drank my water...oh and before the cinema we went to a chinese on the quays. My Birthday fell on a saturday, so I only had sunday to try and make up points ready for weigh in on the Monday..I struggled, but still managed a 1lb loss that week.
I didn't really do anything for mother's day just the 'norm' but we had a fab day on Saturday, we went to a kiddies indoor play at Hyde called Slide and Seek.. I had about 6 goes on the slide and it totally worn me out but it was so much fun.
I have also invested in a pedometer and Satuday I managed to do 9500 steps!!!

So I think after our busy weekend it was only right that today when I stepped on the scales there was a 4lb loss!!! I was gobsmacked but thrilled.

I hope everyone else is managing to keep on the wagon...it's a bumpy ride but it IS sooo worth it!!! xxx

wohoo managed another 1 hr on the wii fit. Couldn't do My Fitness Coach because I am really aching but going to have a crack at it tomorrow!

Hubby came home from work with a cadbury creme egg last night as a treat, I have been craving choch (totm) but he showed it to me as I was dishing tea out which was healthy fish in sauce, new potatoes and peas, so it seem so appealing then! But at the end of the evening having a brew hubby brought in the egg and I said I don't want it (I didn't even think about it, just said I don't want it!) and then he picked it up to eat, so I took it off him and squashed it into a fondant mess (he is also doing ww's..kind of...I wasn't just being mean lol) and said to him "There, now this won't be on out bums tomorrow!" I was so shocked but pleased with myself! I have never ever had this will power before. It's really strange but I am really pleased I did it, I went to bed feeling healthy, not guilty, depressed and sick! lol.

Exercise Results!!

Today I managed a whole 57 minutes on 'WiiFit' and a further 15 minutes on 'My Fitness Coach'. I was so knackered after it but pleased I pushed myself. I photographed my achievement on the wiifit..

I managed 806 spins doing the hula hooping :-)

..and 3200 steps on the free step under the aerobics section.
Woohooo!

I am aiming to do some more tomorrow. I am really trying to lose 1.5lb this week for my next silver 7! So exciting!!! lol!

I'm still on the wagon!

Well, it has been a little while since I posted properly and can't keep up with everything, life is so hectic and time is flying etc!

Anyway last week I lost 1.5lbs at ww's and this week I lost 3lbs! I am in the 16 stones now. Weighing 16st 13lb..which if I told someone who doesn't have a weight problem, would just think omg how huge etc. But I am over the moon. Late December I was weighing in at a heavy 19st 4.5lb. I have now lost a total of 33.5lb and yes I have a long way to go but this year (since new years day) I have not had a week where I have sts or gained. Which normally does happen, it is like this time it really is meant to be.

I am still trying to exercise although I have started to slack. But I am really going to try and get back into it this week.

I would ideally like to lose 1.5lb next week for my next silver 7. Then I will be aiming to get to 16st 4.5lb...which will be my 3rd stone GONE!

I have found it hard lately and I did give in on pancake day and had one...but I suffered after, my stomach was in agony and felt like I had millions of knots! I haven't had any diet coke since 2008 and have very little chocolate. I am trying new meals from ww's magazines and handouts.

I am still feeling really positive and motivated. I think it helps that I have recorded my weight on my facebook status every week! I would hate to have to put 'gained 6lb' or something...which I could easily gain...in a day! lol but no, that was the old me.

I have so many comments from people to..a lot of people are noticing....that is a grat boost!

So this week I shall be aiming for that shiny silver seven!

I hope everyone else is managing to keep at it. It does work....the brain does needs to be taught :-)

It's WI time again....

Still not getting much chance to keep up to date with everything and everyone, The days are flying by!!

Anyway last week I really really worked hard. My aim was to lose 2lb so that I would get my 10%...I managed 2 days of exercise which I did by going on wii fit for 1 hour and My Fitness Coach for 15 mins. I could only do 2 days - I was knackered!!

I was so nervous stepping on the scales! But I needn't had worried...I lost 4lbs!! Bringing my weight down to 17st 3.5lbs :-)
Which means I have lost my 2nd stone and got my 10% today...

My BMI is now 45.6 which has come down from 50 odd!
My dress size has gone down to a 22/24 from a 24/26.
Also had an appointment with my doctor this week and she checked my Blood Pressure and the bottom one has come right down to 75!!!! It hasn't been this for years and years!!!

Now I am aiming to get into the 16's stones.....just 4lb to go :-)

WI Result..

..this week I lost 2.5lbs which I am pleased with.

Last week I didnt manage to do any exercise at all and have hardly had time to go on the weight watchers board and even my tracking went out of the window!!!

But I only need to lose 2lb for my 10% and 3.5lbs for my 2nd stone! So I am going to really try this week and aim to do the wi and "My Fitnes Coach" and aim for my 10%. I'm also going to track!!!

And hopefully I will get on the boards more!! TTFN.

I'm Struggling!!!

To keep up with everything that is!!

I went to weight watchers on Monday and was pleased when I steppd on the dreaded scales to read a 2lb loss! I am feeling really heavy as is nearly totm for me.

I am still sticking to the plan, I haven't cheated once and haven't had a single chocolate bar this year or any diet coke! I do feel tons better for it.

I have also been doing lots of exercise, although last week I couldn't do much as my son was off school all week with tonsilitus and this week I am starting with it AND my son is coming back down with it, so doctors for us this morning!

Monday morning we woke up to a lot of snow! It continued to snow all day long but by Tuesday it had all gone and some had turned to ice!

Things are changing....

...I have noticed a few changes lately, the first being I have really been enjoying my baths, and having them to relax rather than just to wash and get out again, and the main thing that has caused this is, I can get into the bath now, sit down, and I no longer feel 'wedged' in! I can't feel the bath squashing my thighs, or my over bloated belly staring me in the face like a mountain! I have so much more room. It's like heaven! I used to shower mainly and just bath every now and again, but not anymore!!

Also I have seen a difference in my clothes they are much looser now, which is great! Not falling off yet, but much much looser! And with that, I can actually see my body has changed I can kind of see for myself where the weight has disappeared. It is such a good feeling I can't describe it and that's just losing 20.5lbs!!

Today I have been on a new Wii game called "My Fitness Coach". This game is like a fitness dvd only you can choose your workout time and what area's you want to work on. At the beginning you have to enter all your details such as Weight, Height, Measurements etc, and it also asks for your pulse rate whilst resting and then it asks you to do 'Jumping Jacks' in sync with the virtual trainer for 2 mins (I was well knackered doing this, and will hold my hands up - I couldn't do it all!) then you put your pulse rate in again. You can also enter a goal weight. The game gives you a time table to commit yourself to the workout, I chose 15 mins Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I did some today and it was working on the upper body. I was much more achy and tired than when using the Wii Fit but I will continue to use to the Wii Fit on Tuesdays and Thursdays and try and fit some in at the weekend to. I don't want to commit myself to too much exercise but I am hoping by doing this bit extra it will stop my getting saggy skin when the fat goes!

I am still really committed to the plan and haven't cheated once! I am so surprised! When I have done ww's before I always have a 'treat' day which would basically just mean eating anything and everything for one day! But this time I don't feel the need to. I don't feel like I am missing out. I have been trying lots of new foods too, normally I am so fussy but I am really determined this time, I sooo have to do it! I do a menu for the week on a Saturday evening, normally after tea so I don't feel hungry. Then I do a shopping list of all the things we need for that menu for the week, I have found this stops us picking things up in Tesco's saying, "ohh, will get some of this...just in case". Going back to the menu...When I plan meals for the week I try not to have the same meal twice in one week, for example I aim to have a different breakfast everyday. It was a tip I picked up from a Weight Watcher meeting a very long time ago, and the leader said your body can get used to eating the same things everyday which slows down the metabolism. Eating something different shocks your body and gets it working again.....not sure how true it was but left to my own devices I could easily eat 2 rounds of Toast and drink a cup of tea for breakfast every morning till infinity. Well I did do for a good 20 years! And this is the best I have felt so there must be some truth in it!

Lastly, going back to the game I mentioned earlier, I was saying you have to put your measurements in, well I measured myself today and I have lost 4 inches off my bust, about 6 off my waist and some off my hips - can't remember how many. Straight after this I am going to do a post just for my measurements as I think I will stick to keeping track on the 'inch-loss' then too!

Better Late Than Never...

...WI Result was yesterday and I am ever so pleased to announce I have lost 4lb :-)
Which takes me into the 17's yay! I feel great, so much better than I have for months!

I was actually saying to my husband the other day how it has been ages since I was last ill (I normally catch everything!) however, I jinxed myself and am suffering today with, I think, a cold. Feeling Hot and Cold (nearly broke into a song then :-P) and very lifeless :-(

I don't know whether I am coming or going at the moment on the internet (hence the late WI post) I am obsessed with Pet Society, I am trying to keep an eye on the ww boards, FB Groups and Challanges, keep this updated and keep an eye on my eBay stuff....then I get side tracked with pictures people have uploaded on FB or searching for things I don't really need on eBay! Also my little boy has been poorly with tonsilitus and I have started shutting the laptop down early in the night and not spend all my time on it (I can easily sit on here all day and night) so that I can properly relax, so I do apologize for not updating this often or FB groups.

I hope every one is still on the wagon!!! And if anyone ever needs to talk please feel free to drop me an email or message me through facebook :-) I don't mind, and I will reply as soon as poss! I get my emails through to my phone anyway so I can normally reply straight away.

Still going strong?!

So we are coming to the end of January and I'm still as focused as the first day, if not more.

Still counting points, watching what I eat, trying new foods etc. I also trying to do as much exercise as possible. Yesterday I went on the wii fit for just over 30 mins, this ws the first time in 8 days due to a sore back..Today I went on it for 1 hour!!! Half of that hour I spent on the step aerobics and managed just shy of 3000 steps.....boy am I aching now and I have to walk to school for the kiddies in a min!! Will have a nice soak in the bath to relax these muscles tonight.

As I mentioned before I am trying lots of different foods now and not sticking to the same things. This week I managed to get hold of WW's Tikka Masala, Nan Bread and Bagels...The Tikka Masala was gorgeous and Naan Bread was just the same as normal naan so you don't lose any flavour what so ever....however the Bagels, they were really really stale, I didn't enjoy them at all, and I have heard someone on the ww's boards mention this before. It's a shame because I haven't had one bad ww's product yet and you normally don't lose any taste. But these Bagels where just not enjoyable at all (they were well in date btw) Come on ww's you can do better than this!! :-)

Would love to lose 2.5lb this week to take me into the 17's, will have to wait and see, it was hubby's birthday Wednesday and I still behaved!!! I am trying so hard, harder than ever before, I think I will actuall do it this time ;-)

WI Result: I only needed to lose 2lb....

...to lose my first stone....but I lost 4.5lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday came around rather quickly! I haven't been 'Blogging' or on the WW's board much last week as I was feeling a little down. Not sure why, I am on my own a lot during the day so it may be that. I also didn't go to aqua fit - it was far to cold and wet. I also didn't do a great deal on the wii fit! BUT I stuck to my points and ate nothing sinful at all....which has shown!

As I was walking up the path that leads to the ww meeting I had a terrible pain in my back and not sure why, maybe slept funny or something, but as I was walking through the door I convinced myself I'd stay the same, mainly because I 'felt' heavy, if you know what I mean?

I stepped on the scales and saw it jump straight to 18st 2lbs. It didn't flutter about trying to decide if I was that extra 0.5lb heavier, it just stayed put on that reading, I was over the moon, I had lost my first stone! I stayed on the scales whilst the leader was chatting away to me whilst I just kept smiling at her, she must have thought I was on something! I felt like I was on something! She then told me to pick up a stone/pebble as a sign of losing my first stone. I also got another shiney, sparkly silver 7 stuck to my card :-)

I know I have a long way to go but at least it is one whole stone gone. FOREVER! No going back this time Samantha!

My next goal is to get into the 17's, I'm not to bothered when but would like to do it by 2nd Feb. So we will see....

What on earth...

..has got in to me?!

I did 45 minutes on the wii fit yesterday and 30 minutes today!! O.M.G! - This is truly nothing like me at all, and my house is organized and clean and tidy :-)
So anyway, yesterday on the wii fit I did a couple of yoga exercises, muscle workouts, hool-a-hoop'ing and then 20 minutes 'freestyle' step aerobics which I did whilst watching Celeb Big Bro live on E4 haha! And then today I did some more yoga but different ones from yesterday and some muscle ones and then some more step aerobics. I did long distance jogging but by the end of the 5 minutes it was not a pretty sight! The jogging is so bloody hard!

We have seen 2 really intresting tv programmes this week, the first one was 'my half ton son' he weighed 60 stone and his life was, well he didn't have one. And then yesterday we watched extreme slimmers and again people were needing to lose 20 odd stone etc, and looking at them before they slimmed and seeing how dreadful their lives came and it was just 'food' that did this, not drugs/drink/smoke etc, it's an addiction you can't 'give up' totally and I think that is why it is so hard, with other addictions such as drugs/drink/smoke (which very luckily I have never done any...I only drink xmas! and thats bicardi breezers lol!) you can give those up and ignore the fact they even exist on the planet. And most people wouldn't dream of offering a double whiskey to aa recovering alcholic so why do people seem to think it's ok to tempt dieters with bad foods?!
Anyway back to the tv programmes (sorry I went off on one then!) they really made us (me and hubby, he is also doing weight watchers with me...not attending classes though just eating the same) think about what can happen, and like has been said so many times before, it is so easy to put on, just look at claire sweeneys programme last week 'my big fat diet' she GAINED 2 stone in 6 weeks!!! And it come back off in 6 weeks? Nope!

I am going to aqua fit tomorrow too so may give the wii fit a mis or do it for just 15 mins or so. Looking forward to Monday, really hope I have lost the 2 lbs I need to get rid of to get to my 1st stone off :-)

..I finally found out if all that hard work paid off....

...and it did!!

This week at weigh in, I weighed in at 18st 6.5lbs, 5.5lbs lighter than last week. I have now lost a total of 12lbs and I am 2lbs off my 1st stone loss!! I also got my first silver 7!

I am not having the best of days, feeling a little down but losing the weight is helping.

So here goes to another week of hard work, hopefully with a loss of 2lb on Monday my first stone!!!

An end to a good week...

...diet wise anyway!

Have done myself proud on the plan this week: Stuck to points, Stuck to the meal plan that I had set out this time last week, welcomed changes and even had to put up with a few challenges that would normally see me going to the nearest shop to buy as much high-calorie chocolate I could squeeze into my little fat hands!

But I think, even if I do say so myself, I have done well. I haven't been on the wii fit as much as I'd have liked but have done loads more housework than I would normally! I did have a go on the wii fit today for 15 minutes or so, and checked myself on the 'body test' I know I shouldn't :-|

BUT, according to the wii fit I have lost 4lbs!!!!!!!!! Only that was before I ate an 11pt Sunday Dinner (that is all I have had though apart from breakfast!)

Weigh In Day tomorrow so we shall soon see if this week of hard work has paid off...or not!....

What a difference...

..a few pounds loss can make..

Today I came on (sorry tmi!) I was so happy that 1) It kinda explains the 1lb gain yesterday on the wii fit maybe..and 2) I should be 'off' by the time weigh in comes around on monday.
For the past few months my cycle has been all over the place mainly being late. However this month it's back to running like clockwork..I presume this is also a sign and benefit of losing weight - even just a couple of pounds and normally I crave chocolate or any comforting food like mad! But this time I seem ok! Not craved anything like that once. I am so shocked!

I was meant to be going aqua fit tonight but going to leave it this week and just do some gentle jogging and exercises on the wii fit (but shall be giving the 'daily test' a miss!)

I have got some ironing to be cracking on with so going to get on with that now I have taken care of Yogi - my pet society pet on Facebook (highly addictive game based on an interactive pet..)
Finally seem to be getting back into normal routine now the kids are back at school, only 5 weeks till they are off again though! Not sure if I will be childminding during this half term, may just stick to term time only then I am getting some quality time with my own 2 little devils :-)

I am really starting to believe that 2009 is going to be a successful year for weight loss. I sure hope it is anyway. x

What a mixed day...

Today started off with an appointment at the docs. All good news my blood pressure has finally dropped to 82 (bottom figure) not seen it this low in ages! Then Dr asked to step on scales and I'd lost a fair few pounds since weighed there last time (not sure exactly how much as the scales were kg and I cant even remember the exact reading now) BUT Dr was most pleased and said how well I was looking, came out feeling so positive...

Then today I went on wii fit and it says I have gained a pound. Now I am not sure if this is because I went on at 4pm where as other times I have been going on at 6am etc! Or the fact I am due (totm) I have a really bad migraine that I have had for a few days, not sure if that is caffiene withdrawel, stress or due to totm approaching?! I was just really hoping the wii fit would have shown a loss...I have been so so good. Nothing has passed these lips that shouldn't have. I have been having 3 good meals a day and not even wanted to snack, I have even saved points some days.

Hopefully the WI on monday will have a positive result!

Being this big is making me very depressed, which is a little funny as being depressed got me to this size in the first place! I have problems with my back, legs and recently started to have iregular cycles. I am suffering with very bad skin, breathlessness, lack of energy and always tired!
I also have high blood pressure at the moment, normally over 96 (the bottom figure, I can never remember the top...its about 130 I think) and I have fatty liver disease! Apparently caused by being overweight and will only be resolved by losing weight. I dread to think what condition my heart is in! And it is very scary looking at these pictures...the size of me compared to my heart.....it must me working over time and under a lot of strain!

Anyway this is my fattest photo..will be doing some every time I lose a stone I think.

Weigh In Result.......

....this week I have lost 1/2 a pound!

It could have been a gain but I was slightly dissapointed I think due to the fact that I have been on wii fit every day and it has so far given a loss of 4lb in 4 days! ....so think I may stop doing the body test everyday and just do training until next monday.

I went on the wii fit again this morning and did aerobics, boxing and jogging, I am really aching so bad now and only did anout 20 mins (was rushing around getting kids ready for 1st day back at school :-))

I am going to measure myself everywhere later and take a 'Before' photo to post up on here then will do the same thing every month or so.

OMG...It's Sunday and I've.....

...been in total control of myself!!

I have ate well, including trying out a ww recipe..butternut squash soup with red pepper and onion...which was yummy! (I normally hate vegetables...and soups!)
But also I have done 20 mins of aerobics on the wii fit!! I so hope I keep this up, I need to keep this fight I have in me right now, alive until I reach goal, which I know is going to take time.

Also I will mention that I did the body test on the wii and it says I have lost 1lb since yesterday!! (and yesterday I weighed at 7:30am, today I weighed at 3pm!!) My BMI has dropped from 50 to 49.something!!!) I can't wait for weight watchers tomorrow, I'd be happy with a sts to be honest as long as it is not a gain!

I'm also starting to get used to this blogging business I think...it's hard to keep up with the blogs/board and group so please don't think I am being igronant if I don't respond to something.

A Good Start To Saturday

Felt rather positive this morning when I opened my eyes! Have managed 30 minutes on the Wii Fit and was pleased when it told me I had lost 2lb but we will see the real results at ww's as that is the result that matters!

I haven't been 'good' the past 2 days, although, I haven't been binge eating either but we have been finishing off the crap that was left over from Christmas, although I fed the majority of it to the kids. We will not be buying anymore chocs/biscuits/crisps though so should be able to keep on track now!

I am planning on doing some more on the wii fit tomorrow and every morning from now on and I also plan to go to aqua-fit (water aerobics) on Thursday at the local council recreation centre..I am considering buying the MOS:Aeroburn which on the advert didn't look to difficult and had fab music, the kind that makes you want to get up and dance :-)
So..we will see......

A Fresh Start...

....again!!

Ok so this my umpteenth attempt at losing weight, only now there is a bit of a difference, I'm not just trying to lose a few pounds to look good...I am aiming to lose nearly 10 stone. I know it is going to be hard because I have been here so many times before...

Only now, I am ill, I am a mother to 2 beautiful healthy children, I need to do it for them, my husband but most of all my long suffering health.

I am 5ft 1in and was last weighed at my weight watchers meeting on 22nd December, weighing 18st 12.5lbs..(I started ww again on 3rd November weighing 19st 4.5lbs - and I haven't been trying very hard, which is reflected on only losing 6lbs in 6 weeks!)

Over Christmas I have not been an angel and I am not throwing myself into it like I normally would..but this is a brand new year, and a brand new start.
I am weighed next on the 5th January 2009. I hope I haven't gained alot, but if I have then I have, I will fix this.

My aim's this year..
Try and totally ban chocolate again (I know this isn't recommended with ww's but it works for me, I work better under strict discipline, and last time I did this I managed 3 months...if I only last 3 months again then so be it...it'll be 3 months worth of chocolate that won't be on my hips ;-)
To stick at things, I enjoy Aquafit & using my Wii Fit but get bored easily...I MUST stick with it!
And lastly to actually use the support from weight watcher boards regularly and stop lurking about! lol.
